The Best Matter Black Friday Deals: Aqara, Govee, SwitchBot and More!

Building out your smart home can be expensive, which is why Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a great time to start or expand, with all the major Matter manufacturers offering discounts of up to a third on their best products. Here's our picks of the best Matter Black Friday deals. 

Aqara: 20-30% off

Aqara specializes in smart sensors: the bread and butter of any smart home. Without those, your automation will be limited to timers.

The whole Aqara range is around 20-30% off for Black Friday, with the standout Matter-controller, thread border router, and Zigbee bridge Hub M3 down to $100. Even if you’re not going to use the Hub M3 as your primary controller, it’s a brilliant way to get your existing (and new) Zigbee sensors into your Matter system. The native Matter-over-Thread Door and Window Sensor P2, as well as Motion and Light Sensor P2 have a small discount, down to at $24 and $27.

Although most of the Aqara range uses Zigbee, don’t let that deter you. With the Hub M3 as a Zigbee bridge, it’ll all be automatically imported to your Matter controller—in fact, it’s even easier than regular Matter sensors, because you’ll only have to pair the Hub! Govee: 20-40% off

The king of smart lighting, with every kind of fixture from neon ropes to wall lights and outdoor laser displays. Just in time for Christmas, the Matter-compatible String Lights 2 are deeply discounted from down to $80 (99ft, though the other lengths are discounted too), while the new Icicle lights are just $90 for 33ft. We’ve reviewed both, and love them.

Another of our favorites, the Govee Floor Lamp 2 is a massive 33% off, down to $99. As well as being Matter-compatible, it hooks into the Govee Dreamview system, allowing you reflect your computer monitor with some free software (or any HDMI source with the AI Sync Box 2).

Meanwhile, for the cyberpunk or anime fans, the incredible Evangelion-themed Gaming Wall Light featuring an industry-first on-fixture print is 30% off - and would make a fantastic gift for any geek in your life!

Nanoleaf

While the Nanoleaf Matter range isn’t nearly as extensive as Govee’s, if you're looking to expand your existing Nanoleaf setup, now is a great time to do so. 

The Essentials Smart Multicolor Outdoor String Lights bring a modern twist to the traditional outdoor string bulbs, and are currently 23% off, at $100 for 49ft (20 bulbs). Our other pick for Nanoleaf Black Friday deals is the humble Essentials Smart LED Color-Changing light bulb. These run on Matter-over-Wifi, and at $10 each in a pack of four, they're a budget-friendly way to add some color ambience and smart lighting to all your existing screw-in bulb fixtures. 

SwitchBot

Rather than buying all new smart appliances, SwitchBot is all about adding smarts to your dumb appliances—whether that's motorizing your favorite drapes or putting pushbuttons on your coffee machine. The SwitchBot range isn't directly compatible with Matter, but it can all be integrated with the help of their Hub 2 Bluetooth bridge. 

So, if you don't have a Hub 2, that's your starting point, and it's currently down from the usual $70 to a tasty $52—and there's even a further 10% coupon on the page. But the Hub 2 isn't just a Matter bridge for all your other SwitchBot gear though, it's also a great temperature and humidity sensor—as well as an infra-red blaster. So you can even make your TV into a Matter-compatible smart device (well, you can turn it on and off, anyway). 

The Curtain 3 is the best way to automate curtains, fitting onto a variety of curtain rods or U-rail designs with a simple installation. It's currently around a third off at $63, but bear in mind you may need two of them if you have double curtains that open from the center—and you'll need a Hub 2 in the same room to control them over Matter.

The original Smart Switch is where it all started for SwitchBot; it's a simple device that pushes a button for you. Some things just can't be automated, and need that physical button. But with the SwitchBot Smart Switch, pretty much anything can be—and it's currently the cheapest ever at around $20. I use one to turn on my PC.
