SwitchBot's Matter-Compatible Smart Air Purifiers Are Now Available on Amazon

After quietly launching on the company's website late last year, SwitchBot today announced that its range of smart air purifiers are now available for purchase on Amazon. SwitchBot's new air purifiers not only offer convenient remote controls and advanced HEPA filtration but also support Matter smart home connectivity when paired to a compatible SwitchBot hub.
SwitchBot Smart Air Purifiers: Design and Specs
Available in two versatile designs—a standard option and one with a tabletop—both SwitchBot air purifiers feature an all-white cylindrical design with a large bowl-shaped LED light that rests above the outlet vent near the top. The LED features full RGB capabilities with 10 preset color options as well as dimming, and it acts as an air quality indicator in passive use.
The SwitchBot Air Purifier Table sports a small wood-look waterproof surface on top that extends over the sides, which should be handy for spills and for those with pets. The tabletop even includes a hidden wireless phone charger making it an excellent choice for living spaces or as a nightstand.
While their design may vary, both SwitchBot air purifiers share the same set of internal specs and three-layer H13 HEPA filtration systems. SwitchBot claims that both are suited for spaces small and large with their 360-degree design that can clean homes up to 1,800 square feet in just an hour with a CADR of 236CFM.
The company also states that the air purifiers are capable of removing 98.18% of odors and 93.45% of airborne hair in as little as 30 minutes. Other highlights include a child lock, a chew-proof power cord, and three operating modes: auto, pet, and sleep—the latter of which operates quietly, at just 20 dB.
SwitchBot Smart Air Purifiers: Features and Connectivity
SwitchBot's air purifiers connect to existing smart home networks via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. When connected, users can monitor and review air quality metrics, build operating schedules, adjust speeds, and customize settings all through the SwitchBot app, available for iOS and Android.
As previously mentioned, the new air purifiers currently require a hub—either the SwitchBot Hub 2 or the latest SwitchBot Hub Mini—for Matter connectivity. Through Matter, users can expect to see seamless app and voice controls through their preferred smart home ecosystem and cross-platform sharing via Multi-Admin capabilities.
Despite requiring yet another hub, SwitchBot's hubs offer plenty of versatility as they also function as IR blasters for controlling older devices. And, in the case of the SwitchBot Hub 2, they also include extras like built-in temperature and humidity sensors.
According to SwitchBot, both air purifiers will support direct Matter connectivity without a hub through a firmware update soon. However, SwitchBot has not provided a firm release date for the update as of yet.
SwitchBot Smart Air Purifiers: Pricing and Availability
The SwitchBot Air Purifier and Air Purifier Table are available for purchase now through Amazon and Amazon UK, with retail prices ranging from $219.99 to $269.99 US. To celebrate the launch, SwitchBot appears to be offering a few discounts that can save potential buyers 5% or $50, depending on the model.
The SwitchBot Hub 2 with Matter is also available at a suggested retail price of $69.99. As with its air purifiers, the company is offering an additional $10 discount on the Hub 2 when clipping the coupon on the Amazon product page.
