Govee, one of the leading smart ambient lighting companies, has launched a suin updated range of new products designed to "Bring Color to Daily Life." With a heavy dose of Matter-compatible hardware, the new lighting solutions include AI-powered gaming experiences and elegant home accents, all of which can be seen in action at CES 2025.

Govee’s CES 2025 Smart Lighting Systems

Most of Govee’s products work with Matter, and the Mini Panel Lights and Table Lamp 2 Pro x are no different.

Mini Panel Lights: Unleash creativity with compact, customizable panels that offer endless possibilities for personalized lighting designs. RGBIC colors are brought to life with up to 120 connected panels, creating over 50 lighting effects.

Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound by JBL: Experience immersive audio-visual experiences with synchronized lighting and powerful JBL sound. RGBICWW lighting technology is combined with sound synchronization technology, offering an ambient lightshow when music is played. The device is also rechargable and completely portable.

As with other Matter-compatible Govee lights, both devices can be controlled with the Govee app.

Matter Integration for Seamless Smart Home Experiences

We’re big fans of Govee’s smart lighting solutions, so it’s good to learn of some new Matter-compatibles from the company at CES.

An increasing number of Govee products now support the Matter standard, which enables compatibility with major smart home ecosystems like Alexa and Google Home. This means effortless control, voice commands, and a more intuitive user experience for consumers.

For lighting, it means that you get better control from a single app… although to be fair, your Matter hub app is unlikely to deal with the complexities of lighting. Luckily, Govee has its own app, which is pretty good.

Gaming Should Matter

In addition, an interesting non-Matter device has been unveiled. At this time, the Gaming Pixel Light is one of the few Govee lighting systems with no Matter badge. It’s not clear if this is an oversight, if it is awaiting certification, or if it is simply controlled over Wi-Fi and the Govee app.

The Gaming Pixel Light displays vibrant pixel art displays, with the option to display real-time information integration, and AI Lighting Bot support.

The AI Lighting Bot is a key factor of Govee’s CES 2025 offering, which aids in the creation of personalized lighting. Developed from a self-trained model with 12 billion parameters, the AI system delivers accurate and dynamic AI lighting, for both linear and surface lighting effects.

We hope to review the upcoming Govee range later in 2025.
