The best Amazon Big Spring Sale Matter deals: Aqara, SwitchBot, Eve, and more!

As we all know, creating the smart home of our dreams can be quite hard on the wallet. So if you are on the never-ending quest of automating every aspect of your home, you'll want to stock up on essentials during shopping events like this week's Amazon Big Spring Sale.

We've scoured Amazon to find the best deals on Matter-compatible plugs, sensors, robot vacuums, light bulbs, and more—here are our top picks to help expand your smart home.

Amazon: major savings on Matter Controllers

It wouldn't be an Amazon shopping event without discounts on the latest Amazon Echo devices, so it comes as no surprise that the company's smart speakers and displays are amongst the best deals around. Amazon Echo devices not only provide hands-free voice controls, but they also serve as Matter Controllers making them a perfect fit for those just starting their smart home journey.

Sale highlights include 25% off all colors of the Echo Pop smart speaker, 22% off the Echo Show 5 display, and 28% off the Echo Hub—a wall-mounted command center. Discounts also apply to select kids edition Amazon Echo devices and the always popular Echo Dot which can be found on the Amazon Echo and Alexa Store.

Aqara: up to 30% off door locks, hubs, and cameras

Aqara always delivers serious savings during Amazon shopping events, and this week's Big Spring Sale is no exception. Starting March 25th, you can score 30% off the company's Matter-compatible U50 and U100 smart deadbolt door locks and 24% off its U300 lever lock.

While the company has slowly been transitioning its product line to Thread, its door locks—and most of its sensors—require an Aqara-branded ZigBee hub for Matter connectivity. These are also on sale, with the flagship Aqara Hub M3 getting a 23% discount, and the newly launched Camera Hub G5 Pro—which we deemed as "almost perfect" in our recent review—is available for $152.99.

Eve: up to $35 off plugs, outlets, and sensors

Eve's focus on delivering premium, privacy-focused Matter-over-Thread smart home devices means the company's offerings typically cost more than its competition. If Eve's products match your smart home needs, then now is the time to stock up.

For example, you can save $10 on the Eve Energy Smart Plug and the Eve Energy Outlet—my go-to picks when it comes to making older "dumb" devices smart. A $7 discount is also available for the Eve Door and Window sensor as well as a whopping $35 off the Eve Motion Blinds Upgrade Kit that turns any regular roller blind into a Matter-compatible window covering.

Additional savings can be had through multi-pack bundles, which you can find on the Eve Amazon Store.

SwitchBot: big discounts on Matter-compatible robot vacuums

Beginning March 25th, smart home enthusiasts in the US and UK can save up to 61% off of SwitchBot's Matter-compatible lineup. Although SwitchBot has a variety of unique devices on sale, the star of the show is undoubtedly the SwitchBot S10 Robot Vacuum and Mop which features automatic self-emptying of its dust collection bag, and self-refilling and draining of its water tanks.

If you just want the basics—and Matter—the incredibly small SwitchBot Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ is also on sale for just $175.99. Vacuums aren't the only SwitchBot products on sale though, as savings can be had for the company's Curtain 3 motorized window covering solution, and for the SwitchBot Lock Pro bundle which includes a keypad and hub.

TP Link/Tapo: light up your home for less

Already home to some of the cheapest Matter-compatible devices around, TP-Link/Tapo is making things even more affordable for Amazon's Big Spring Sale. From now until March 31st, you can nab a pair of colorful 75w equivalent Tapo Smart Light Bulbs for under $20, a steal considering how well it performed in our hands-on review.

TP-Link deals also extend to the great outdoors with the P400M Smart Plug offered at a 33% discount. And, for the indoors, the P210M Wi-Fi In-Wall Outlet with Energy Monitoring can be had for as little as $24.99.
